Yesterday took place a prestigious tracking competition Ottův Cup 2013.
25 competitors were entered from whole Czech Republic, including entrants of Czech tracking qualifications and Czech tracking championships. Some very famous names, so the competition was HUGE.
The trial is all the more difficult that a dog have to work out 2 tracks in one day on two different grounds. Both tracks were 1 hrs old, shapen in letter “R” – 5 legs, 4 corners, with 3 articles on the track.
Both terrains really were not easy, one was a stubble cluttered up with manure, the second ground was a hard field. The bad thing was that when we started the second track on the field so it was hardly raining.
Each track was judged by different judge.
Rebel proved absolutely great readiness, on both tracks he worked without faults. He pleased me so much with the way of working on both tracks – with low nose sniffing, with absolute concetration, with a great will and great exactness. On both tracks he got the same points score – so it is a mark that he is able to work with the same concentration on each ground. Both judges were really very strict, no competitor has the full point score. The only point loss for Rebel was just only because a little bit slower marking on articles. So my joy was giant
So finally – Rebel in such not easy trial was placed on wonderful 2. place from all 25 competitors !!!
I have to say, that the succes is even bigger, because the winning dog was a Master of Tracking championship of Czech Republic 2012 Mr. J. Kinzl with his Dargo Vepeden, who is really amazing tracker ! We have only about 3 points less than him !
This is absolutely bombastic success and award for our all-year endeavour and hard trainings and I am extremelly happy that I have such a wonderful ridgeback at home, who showed many times that he is able to match with the best ..
