Last weekend we competed with Rebel at Czech Tracking Championship qualification.
It is a double-day tracking qualification according IPO-FH. One day is a track laid on the earth,
second day on the green base.
We expected, that in such an extreme weather what is already for the second year for all trackers, that Rebel will probably have a problem on the dry and dusty earth. But Rebel the first day on really difficult terrain worked out absolutely great track without big faults and so we were over the moon from his result. We even hoped for a maintaing of the third place or even better success because usually Rebel has absolutely no problem on the green base.
Unexpectedly the second day Rebel did not finish the track on the clover. Why, it´s a question. If the rain took all the scent from the track, or some another problem, I do not know. I was sad, but simply – dogs are not machines and I am still very proud of him, that he is able to compete on such a high level and compete with a special working breeds as the only representative of rhodesian ridgebacks from all the times.
Still it was a great experience again, and I thank to Rebel for a nice 5. place on such an event.
