Pedigree

Ich. MultiCh. SORBONNE is stud dog imported from Netherlads to Czech Republic.
Sorbonne´s pedigree includes many of famous, proved and high quality dogs, who mean a lot for rhodesian ridgeback breed.
In Sorbonne´s pedigree are Dutch, African (Zimbabwe, South Africa) and also american bloodlines. These bloodlines are proven in RR breed, in terms of the exterior, type, character and health.
Sorbonne is a son of beautiful and world-known Dutch dog Ich. MultiCh. Jockular Jamal Aquamarin. This dog is not only Interchampion and champion of several countries, but first of all, he won two the most prestigious shows in the world. He is a titul WORLD WINNER 2003 and absolute  CRUFT WINNER 2003.  Among other he is also the DOG OF THE YEAR 2003.

Sorbonne is confirming his own qualities and qualities of his ancestry well, what is evident from his show titles, judgements and evaluations

Exterior

Sorbonne is a balanced and proper built dog with a medium – strong skeleton and height in the centre of standard border.
This dog has a very good upper and also bottom line, with straight and stout back; deep and spacious chest and an excellent fore chest. Further has this dog a proper angulation of front and rear legs and also good formed and closed paws.
Sorbonne is a typical representative of the breed with characteristic and nicely – shaped male head, with elegant and long neck and with perfect ridge. Sorbonne has nice, pliant and extensive movement and excellent pigmentation and coat.

Character

Sorbonne has very nice and well-balanced character.

He is self-confident, calm and very loyal to his family.

Sorbonne has great, troublefree nature and he is a dog with what is a pleasure to live.
He is strongly focused to us and is still proving us his love.
He loves touching and cuddling from us.

He is friendly, but stand-offish male with the aloofness to strange people.
He is absolutely nonaggresive to people or other animals.

Sorbonne is excellent guardian and watcher, not only of us or of our property, but now also of our Rebel. They both have great relationship, because Sorbonne “adopted” and accepted him really greatly.

He is very teachable dog, always willing to cooperate.
From a puppy age he is showing us an absolute obedience and an extreme willingness to fulfil our commands. This all with a great pleasure and devotion what is characteristic for him.

First of all, me and Sorbonne pay attention to training of classic obedience including retrieving and also overcaming various hurdles; he is also trained as hunting dog and he actively takes part in shows in Czech Republic and abroad too.

Sorbonne is the all-round dog, he works with a huge enthusiasm and excels in a big willingness to cooperate.

Sorbonne is the dog easy to control and manageable in various situation, he doesn´t hunt wild animals or other animals, in despite of his really strong hunting instinct.
He was my superb helper and a great teacher for our Rebel.
Thanks to Sorbonne I had no trouble with teaching of Rebel and everything was much more easier for me.
At present I must say that I regret very much that we formerly did not consider as important passing some working exams with our Sorbonne and so we did not give him a possibility to prove his working qualities, although he always had and still has a great working potential.
Nevertheless in spite of our inacitivity in this area he passed at least 2 exams – International obedience exam BH and ZOP exam – and both with the highest point scores.

We are eminently glad that Sorbonne gives his extraordinary and uncommon character also to his progeny because many of his offspring show the same type of very composed and willing nature.

Sorbonne is absolutely healthy dog, he doesn´t suffer from any illness or any kind
of allergy.
He is in excellent condition, he accompanies me during my riding the horses several times a week.

Sorbonne is enthusiastic swimmer and retriever.
He has no reaction to shooting.
