In Rebel´s videogallery are two fresh movies from our regular tracking trainings, today from June 11th, 2011.
Those two tracks were completely focused just and only to crossing of a track by another stranger.
Both of those tracks are crossed with stranger 4 times. Crossing of track is for a dog extremely difficult matter. Crossing requires an ability for to be able to differentiate different scents on a track. A dog must be able to keep only the scent track what he sniffed at the beginning of the track. I would like to explain the fact, that ability to discent different scents is not usual and easy, and not each dog is able to make it. Some dogs are not able to work such track up at all, some of them are able to manage it only if the crossing is in some time limit.
You could see, also from older movies, that Rebel has not such problem at all..

Both tracks were identical : – track laid by stranger, 600 paces long, 1,5 hrs old, 3 legs, 2 corners 90°, 3 articles. 4x crossed by another stranger 30 minuts before a start of tracking.
Weather: 7,30 p.m., 25°C, grass, dryness, cloudy, windy (headwind on the last leg of the track).
